Stone Crab Claws Arrive at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse


CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 20, 2016 – Starting this week, Del Frisco’s is serving a special seasonal delicacy: stone crab claws. Flown in from Florida, stone crab claws are only available for a few months each year, and they are not easy to find in Charlotte. Even better, they’re one of just a handful of truly sustainable seafoods since the claws usually regenerate after being harvested.

“Stone crab claw season is a much anticipated time of the year at Del Frisco’s,” said General Manager Rick Cheesman. “They are only available for a few months during the year. Guests really enjoy these succulent crab claws and our famous mustard sauce. They are in high demand and will not last long.”

The stone crab claws will be flown fresh from the Florida Keys, one of the only regions where they are available.  The claws are steamed right on the boat immediately after being caught, and then they’re chilled for shipping.

At the SouthPark steakhouse, the claws come in sets of three, six or nine claws, cracked to order and served with a classic Dijon dipping sauce (and warm towels).

Guests may share claws with their table as an appetizer, enjoy them as their main entree or even add them as an accompaniment to the wide variety of steak and seafood items.
